Organization
Our family site is constructed and maintained on a voluntary basis. We welcome
everyone to help and participate. Please send e-mail to the acting webmaster, Marc Regelbrugge , if you would like
to help with construction and maintenance of the site.
We need immediate help with the following items:
- Funding. Web hosting and domain name services for the site amount to $275
per year. The acting webmaster has advanced funds for the first year of site operation,
and we hope that small donations from family members that have interest in and use
the site will cover these necessary costs. Costs will increase if the site grows
to include additional e-mail addresses (e.g. you@regelbrugge.org) and/or content
in excess of 100 megabytes. If you find the site and its concept valuable, please
consider making a donation to help support its presence. Contact Marc
Regelbrugge if you wish to make a donation.
- Translation. We need help from fluently bilingual people to translate
English information into Flemish and vice versa. We plan to conduct most translation
activity via e-mail, so no special computer skills are needed, but bilingual people
with some experience formatting content for the world wide web are especially encouraged
to help.
SPECIAL OFFER: The first three people to volunteer
their services as English-Flemish translators will be given one of our valuable and
prestigious regelbrugge.org e-mail addresses.
- Content. The site's value derives directly from its content. We need complete
and accurate information on Regelbrugges everywhere. We also need interesting graphical
materials to make the site more enjoyable.
Although we are presently limited to a total of 100 megabytes web space, we anticipate
providing a significant amount of information of interest to the family. Ideas we
have now are for an interactive family tree, a bulletin board listing news and upcoming
events of interest to the family, and a database of contact information for family
members. We will need editors for these facilities to ensure accuracy and
propriety of the posted information. A limited number of highly prestigious regelbrugge.org
e-mail addresses are available for volunteer editors.
- Ideas. The site is intended to be your family
site. Any ideas, comments or suggestions you have to make the site better
serve your interests and the interests of our family are very welcome. We will be
posting e-mail addresses for people to contact with your suggestions in the near
future. Until then, please send your ideas to Marc Regelbrugge at webmaster@regelbrugge.org.
